Who can use Children's Short Term Accommodation?

Any child aged up to 18.

 

How does it work?

Cara has lots of comfortable family-style homes dotted all over Adelaide and in Murray Bridge, Mt Barker, Port Augusta, Port Pirie and Port Lincoln where children can go for a break to have fun, make new friends and learn new skills.

Each child has their own room. Living areas and secure outdoor spaces are shared for play and socialising with other children.

 

What will I do?

You can choose to do things like:

  • Therapeutic play-based programs
  • Developmentally-appropriate activities
  • A fun and structured program
  • Opportunities to develop social skills and independent living skills

 

How long can I stay?

Children's Short Term Accommodation is designed to suit you and your family. You could come and stay for:

  • A few hours
  • A whole day
  • A few nights
  • A couple of weeks
