Who can use it?

Children and adults with disability. Wherever and whenever you need it, Cara’s Home & Community Support service is there to work with you and your family.

Home & Community Support is staffed by trained Community Support Workers (CSWs) who can work with you from as little as two hours per week, right up to 24/7 support.

You can have support anywhere – in your own home, on holiday, at school or work or out in the community – the choice is up to you. And the support is flexible, so you can increase or decrease your hours as needed.

Cara can offer support with:

  • Personal care
  • In-home support
  • Cleaning and laundry
  • Cooking and shopping
  • Transport
  • Organising and attending appointments with you
  • Recreational activities

We can also assist you with managing your:

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plan
  • Self-managed plans
  • Individualised funding

Home & Community Support staff have specialist training in:

  • Supporting children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • High-health needs
  • Medication management

Lifetime Support Authority

Cara’s Home & Community Support service is one of three preferred providers selected by the state government to provide support under the Lifetime Support Authority (LSA) to people who have been involved in car accidents.
