What is Farm Stay?
Nestled in Blakiston in the beautiful Adelaide Hills is Cara’s purpose-built Farm Stay property, offering a luxurious rural retreat. Completed in 2015, Farm Stay is a gorgeous farm house sleeping up to five adults with room for a staff member to sleep over, too. There are four bedrooms, each opening on to a deck, and each bedroom has access to a shared two-way ensuite bathroom.
At Farm Stay, everything is accessible, from the kitchen bench to the raised garden beds and the chicken house!
All guests , including guests who use wheelchairs or walking frames, are able to head down to pick some vegetables or herbs for lunch and collect the eggs in the morning if they wish.
There are farm animals, including a rabbit and sheep, and a spacious deck to mingle with other guests and linger over a drink or two.
Blakiston, which is just outside Littlehampton about 30 minutes from Adelaide, is the perfect base from which to explore the Hills or the Barossa. Stay for a couple of nights or book an extended stay – you may not want to leave!
Thank you: Farm Stay’s land purchase and house construction was funded by the federal government’s Department of Social Services and a generous bequest to Cara.
